Quick Update

It's been a while... so here's a quick update! I'm currently working with Nerd Corps Entertainment working on Monster High. I've also worked on Slugterra. It's been super busy with an upcoming deadline, but I'm still having tons of fun learning, and improving all at once. Yesterday, the animation team watched the latest animatic of the movie we're working.. such a great feeling!
Here's the first Monster High movie I've worked on.

Also, Daddy is a Conundrum has been published and is ready for you to read. All proceeds go towards cancer research! Here's a link to find out a little more of the book.

Baby Einstein

An addition to Daddy is a Conundrum. This is one of my favorites. The best thing about illustrating for this book is linking the scientist's accomplishments and theories through items/toy figures that children can make sense of, and one day will grow up and say, "Hey! I learned that in a book when I was a kid" (kind of like what happened to me with The Magic School Bus once upon a time) It's also super fun to caricature the scientists in a baby/toddler form!

Sneak Peek!

I have the opportunity to be able to illustrate for a children's book my aunt hopes to publish soon titled, Daddy is a Conundrum!  It's a very cute clever book. I'll let you guys know when it's out! Here are my favorites; one as a sketch, the next as a final. I wanted it too keep it cartoony and simple for the children.

The End is Where We Begin

I've recently just graduated from the Art Institute of Vancouver as an animator!! (woohooo! Can't wait to start animating for the rest of my life!)  I'd like to start this blog with my demo reel.
check it out :)

As for artwork, here is one of my favorite pieces that I've ever worked on. It took a lot of time and effort. It's a piece I made in high school as an assignment that teaches your eye for light and shadows in an abstract kind of way. These are made from pieces of magazines, all thrown together to create one piece.

The blonde girl is a piece won first place at an Art Gala. The second piece, was one I created for a nice lady that wanted to buy the blonde girl. I couldn't give away the first one so I made one just for her. It took about 3 weeks on top of school. The plaid on the jacket was the most challenging. More art to come :)
